The sun was setting, soft and slow,
painting the sky in a warm pink glow.

The Little Tortoise, slow and small,
found his way past a granite wall.

The breeze drifted sweet through the ylang-ylang trees,
a soft, warm scent carried on the evening breeze.

He passed beneath the coco de mer,
their giant fronds like a roof up there.

Their great big leaves sway soft and wide,
a cozy roof to rest inside.

Past pink boulders, smooth and round,
worn soft by years of ocean sound.

He tucked in close beside the stone,
his shell a warm and sleepy home.

A little warbler, high in a tree,
sang one last song, then let it be.

The Little Tortoise slept so still,
the whole island rested on its hill.

And now it's time, my little one,
to rest like he has, day is done.

Wrapped up warm and snug and tight,
Seychelles whispers... goodnight, goodnight.

Flagging for you: the 12 pages above are cropped straight from the artwork sheet you sent, so they're ready to go, but a few things still need your input: (1) the narration audio (little-travellers-seychelles-en.mp3) isn't uploaded yet, so Play is wired but silent; (2) the chapter markers I added are placeholder timestamps spaced 15 seconds apart — once you've recorded and timed the real narration, send me the actual timings and I'll update them to match; (3) the illustrations are English-only for now — the Spanish text toggle above still shows text only (and it's the earlier, unillustrated draft that predates the coco de mer/ylang-ylang/pink boulders/warbler additions), so it's out of sync with the artwork until updated or re-illustrated.
